Oh man I just found this thread, need I revive Kidding's Classics for you Danger? lol

Let's go chronologically and start with some classical, Antonin Dvorak's Symphony For The New World, Mvt. IV

Now let's move on to the genre that gave birth to Rock N' Roll the blues and the King of Slide Guitar, Elmore James.

Moving on to the 50s and the most famous 50s Rock N' Roller, Elvis with Heartbreak Hotel:

And then the in rolled the psychedelic 60s, this song by the Count Five was also used in Battlefield: Vietnam

I'm going to shy away from The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc. for this one and move into the early 70s with this hit by The Moody Blues:

In the late 70s, 1979 to be precise, Neil Young and his backing band Crazy Horse released one of the greatest Live Albums ever, entitled Rust Never Sleeps, here's one of the highlights to that album, My My Hey Hey (Out of the Blue):

In 1982  The Who released an album entitled It's Hard which Roger Daltry strongly dislikes. There was one track on that album however that I love and the Daltry considered worthy of releasing, this is Eminence Front: (I love when the guitar kicks in, oh and this song made an appearance in GTA: San Andreas on the classic rock station in the game, K-DST.

Moving on to the 1990s and specifically 1993,  we also move up North to a Canadian band named Blue Rodeo and their song 5 Days In May:

I also strongly recommend checking out "Hasn't Hit Me Yet" by them.

Finally we'll go to the 2000s and an album from 2008. This is the debut album of a band called Mudcrutch. Now Mudcrutch is interesting because it was the band Tom Petty and two of the other band members were in before they went on to form Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, a band very famous in North America. The band formed in 1970 and recorded some demos and such but never released an album and stopped playing together in 1975. 32 years later the now-infamous Tom Petty reunited the members and they recorded and released this album leading with their version of a traditional song called Shady Grove:

Finally we move on to the 2010s and we already have some good music. I'm sure you've heard of The Black Keys and a song by them has already been posted in this thread (Howlin' For You)  but here's another song off the same album (Brothers) released in 2010 called Ten Cent Pistol:

"We're only in it for the money"

"yo naaiers yo naaiers...!!

...sad but true :D...

"thiskid'snotallright"

...this is hard to translate, rap music in the dialect of my zone, Brescia, lyrics are about our old language, big BBQs, love for the earth that you work and sustain you, farms and animals, old time tradition and rurality..."you can notice we are from Brixia, look at our hands" (usually the hands are worn for the hard work in the fields...is close to the finnish sisu...)

...aaaand this is for the night :)
